A simple cleanse can clear your head and allow you the space to focus on what really matters. Death cleaning is an act of love. The ultimate goal is for you to do the sorting so your family members do not take on this burden.
It is a practical and smart solution allowing time to go through your belongings and only keeping the objects that really matter. Allowing you time to share with your loved ones the stories and memories. Let me help you find a meaningful way to pass on items to family, friends or donating to a charity. Both will ensure your possessions will continue to bring joy and serve purpose in new ways.
Have you ever cleaned out a deceased members home? It is overwhelming and daunting. You are faced with the difficult task of understanding which items to keep, toss or donate. Riddled with guilt and unable to start grieving as you manage through the estate.
Less chaos on the outside brings less chaos on the inside.
What's the difference between Spring cleaning and Death cleaning?
We spring clean every year.
We death clean to help our friends and family from having to do this for us when we have died. A long time Swedish tradition starting in your 60's. "Do not ever imagine that anyone will wish - or be able- to schedule time to take care of what you didn't bother to take care of yourself. No matter how much they love you, don't leave this burden for them." -Margareta Magnusson, The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning.
